"Electric Church" is released as a Blue-ray edition.

The gig at the second and final ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL POP FESTIVAL on the 4th of July 1970 was Jimi Hendrix's biggest American concert. It was American Independence Day and there were 200.000 audience members - some estimations go up to 600.000. The band with Jimi, bass player Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell were in good form and delighted the audience with classics ('Purple Haze', 'Fire', a cover version of Bob Dylan's 'All Along The Watchtower') as well as with new songs, which were meant for Jimi's fourth studio album ('Room Full Of Mirrors', 'Hear My Train A-Comin'', 'Freedom' and 'Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)'. Around midnight he played his version of the Star Spangled Banner, accompanied by the official fireworks. The new documentary film Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church has got a focus on this concert and gives highly interesting insights into the festival culture of that time. The documentary on DVD and Blue-Ray, other than the version that aired on US TV, includes additional bonus material. The audience experienced the Atlanta Pop, which was titled the "Southern Woodstock" at that time and is known to be the last big American festival today, at first hand. He takes you back to the 1970s to the rural Byron, Georgia and bears witness to Jimi Hendrix' unforgettable performance. In the documentary Jimi's band colleagues Billy Cox and the deceased Mitch Mitchell get a chance to speak, furthermore there are interviews with Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Rich Robinson, Kirk Hammett, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and Alex Cooley.
