Ulver's genius live recording "ATGCLVLSSCAP" is released with more than 80 minutes of material. This album consists of multi-track live recordings that have been edited in the studio, with mostly improvised music somewhere between rock and electronic sounds, approximately two thirds of it being unpublished until now. The foundation for this album lies in the twelve different concerts by the band in February 2012, who which were all focused around improvisations. After the tour, it was up to Daniel O'Sullivan to work on the tracks in London. Anders Møller, Kristoffer Rygg and Tore Ylwizaker later also worked on it in Oslo. The result is an album with an incredible atmosphere and also something that is sets itself apart from conventional concert recordings. As usual in Ulvers universe, there are manifold elements although Rygg said: "We definitely also refer to sounds of the past." Many of these sounds are rooted within the domain of progressive, electro and krautrock, which also shows the bands love for the music of the seventies. Even when they work on an old jewel from Perdition City from 2000, "Nowhere (Sweet Sixteen)", they put in a new, more broad and emotional setting. By promoting themselves towards a more creative mindset, they create a testimony of their imagination that sets itself apart from any genre or conventions. "ATGCLVLSSCAP" is, literally, innovative.
