Produceret af Robert John »Mutt« Lange (som blev berømt for produktionen af AC/DCs »Back In Black«) markerede "4" det endelige gennembrud for Foreigner i mainstreamen.

Med hitsinglen »Waiting For A Girl Like You« blev albummet en bestseller. Numre som »Urgent«, »Woman In Black«, »Luanne« og »Juke Box Hero« understregede gruppens alsidighed. Hårde riffs og effektive powerballader var adgangsbilletten til rockens olymp, hvor Foreigners hits vil leve videre for evigt.

I anledning af det 50-års jubilæum for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner glæder bandet sig til at annoncere udgivelsen af en omfattende super-deluxe-udgave af deres multi-platin-album fra 1981, »4«.

Indspillet i de berømte Electric Lady Studios i New York City sammen med den anerkendte musikproducer Mutt Lange (Def Leppard, AC/DC), vil »Foreigner 4 Deluxe Editions« være tilgængelige i forskellige formater.

Udgivelsen fås som et CD/Blu-ray-audiopakke med fem diske og et hæfte med over 60 eksklusive fotos, med fem hidtil uudgivne sange, 14 tidlige og alternative versioner af forskellige sange, 15 instrumentale numre og 15 liveoptrædener fra hele verden, der dækker bandets »4«-verdensomspændende turné i 1981 og 1982.
