Actually, there is nothing more to say about Master. If you do not know the band based around Paul Speckmann, you are either behind the times or dead! The band was founded in 1983(!) by Paul Speckmann and Bill Schmidt in Chicago (USA). Paul and Bill knew each other already from joint activities in the doom metal band War. Their shared passion for more extreme metal bands like Slayer or Venom made them change Master's music to a more hardcore one. Until today, Master is one of the first death metal bands and is considered as a pioneer in death metal besides Death, Possessed, and Morbid Angel, although Paul Speckmann once said in an interview he does not care about the classification. Since 1993, Paul Speckmann leads MASTER from the Czech Republic. "An Epiphany of Hate" was produced at Shaark Studios in the Czech Republic and is released in the upcoming year. The genius cover artwork of "An Epiphany of Hate" was created by cover artist Mark Cooper.
