Varebeskrivelse

Comes as limited, black double LP in Gatefold format (180g pressings/incl. protective cover).

Ulver's genius live recording "ATGCLVLSSCAP" is released with more than 80 minutes of material. This album consists of studio reviewed live recordings (mostly improvised) between rock and electronic sounds, whereas 2/3 has remained unreleased so far. The basis is recordings from twelve different concerts in February 2014, which were all dedicated to the art of improvisation. After the tour, co-member Daniel O' Sullivan's task was to work on these recordings in London. Anders Møller, Kristoffer Rygg and Tore Ylwizaker supported him later from their homebase in Oslo. The result is an acoustic film for the wide-screen with an atmospheric mood and in the end a piece of work, which is more than the other conventional concert recordings. As always in Ulver's world, there is a variety of influences to be identified; however, Rygg says: "we clearly refer to the sounds of the past." A lot of them come from progressive, electro, and krautrock, what is the essence of the band's music since the 70s. Even if an older gem from Perdition City 2000 is used like in "Nowhere (Sweet Sixteen)", the framework is broad and emotional. By trying a new approach of creativity, the band demonstrates its creativity and meaning besides the classification of musical genres. "ATGCLVLSSCAP" is literally progressive.
