If you would put "Dead Man`s Voice" in a playlist with Cinderella, Faster Pussycat and Guns 'N' Roses-discs, even hardcore 80's specialists would think they have just discovered a long-lost West Coast gem here! But its quite the contrary: The New Roses were actually founded in 2007, and on top of that they come from the not too sleazy Wiesbaden. An all the more perplexing matter is the second album of the quartet, that satisfies with wonderfully catchy hard rock, that your ears will suck up immediately; it also likes to flirt with some glam, sleaze and blues. Thus, The New Roses fall somewhere between the already mentioned rock legends and the more contemporary Blackstone Cherry . The crunchy rock anthems are a breath of fresh air!
