On "Different Shades of Blue", which is the title of studio album number 11 by exceptional musician Joe Bonamassa, the master concentrates only on his own compositions without any exceptions, although there have been various blues and rock covers on previous releases. As preparation he sat together with the likes of Jonathan Cain (Journey), James House (Diamond Rio, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride), and Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban) and relies once again on Kevin Shirley in terms of production, who was also responsible for the projects Black Country Communism and Beth Hart.
