Cradle Of Filth are hitting us with the successor of the acclaimed "The Manticore And The Other Horrors". "Hammer of The Witches"is the first album with both of the new additions Marek "Ashok" Šmerda ( ROOT & INNER FEAR) and Richard Shaw (EMPEROR CHUNG & NG26), who now work on the strings for Paul Allender. The eagerly awaited gloomy work of the band was created in the district of witches in Britain, at the darkest corner, in rural Suffolk in the restless Grindstone Studios. The album title is deduced from "Malleus Maleficarum", a medieval document with the guidelines for persecution and torture of witches - but this version concentrates on the retaliation: It is the "Hammer of The Witches", the hammer is in the hands of the witches and it is time to take revenge!
