The special edition CD/DVD includes five bonus tracks and an additional DVD. This DVD includes a 40 minute behind the scenes documentary, as well as an exclusive concert in a warehouse in Florida - one of the band´s former meeting points -, where they played songs such as "In Waves” along other classic Trivium hits.

The songs are heavy on the guitars, just like the fans love and expect them to be, with some of the tracks being even more aggressive than before. At the same time Trivium improved with "In Waves” on a visual and lyrical level as well. The entire artwork including videos, stage and website is inspired by modern film, art and passion for hard music. This album has a unique atmosphere, taking the listener to unknown destinations. In any case this journey leads along a wide, open street, filled with darkness and other curiosities. The visual design was created in collaboration between the band and a team of carefully selected visual artists, leading to an unique and original optical concept reminding one of a graphic novel come alive.
