After the big success of “Blackout” and tours in Europe, Asia, and America, the Scorpions started the recordings for „Love at first sting“ in spring 1983, and "Love at first sting" became the most successful album in the band's long career.
The Scorpions celebrate their 50th anniversary - for this occasion, the album is released in a newly remastered 2CD/DVD deluxe edition in a high-quality digipak. The album features 5 previously unreleased bonus tracks selected by the band as an addition to the original track list. Apart from a powerful, direct demo version of „Coming home“and an early demo of „Still loving you“, „Any time (You want it)“ and „Living at night“ are two previously not released songs from the recording sessions at that time. Plus, there's also an interesting and unreleased instrumental jam to explore: „First sting jam“.CD2 consists of the also previously unreleased concert in legendary Madison Square Garden in New York of 06.07.1984. The bonus CD features the video clips for„Still loving you“, „Rock you like a hurricane“, „Big city nights“, and „I’m leaving you“, plus various TV appearances and an interview special that has been especially filmed for this release: the band members talk about the creative process, the history of "Love at first sting".
