On their third album "MO[NU]MENT" the band presents themselves as more mature, but nevertheless as hungry as ever. With songs like "Männer aus Stahl" GOITZSCHE FRONT are without hesitation indicating where you are standing with them: The simplicity and local ties are what shaped them, not being prone to big embodiments. "Only men made from steel drive cars made from paper" is what the Band is saying - and with this they are singing an incorruptible love song to the good old Trabant. Generally GOITZSCHE FRONT are making clear where their values are lying on their new album. It's the seemingly simple things like friendship, solidarity and honesty, which are the lyrical focus. And it is the voices of the boys from Bitterfeld, which amongst all this are unambiguously emphasizing, that their region ,which is struggling under the demographic change, is way more alive and worthy to live in than it's reputation makes it seem.
