After the Foo Fighters caused a sensation in the past year with their highly praised concept album „Sonic highways“, now finally appears their prize-winning HBO-documentation, which arose parallel to the album. Bandleader Dave Grohl himself directed the eight-part series, that accompanied the quintet in the recording process of his most ambitious work. For „Sonic Highways“ the Foo Fighters recorded eight different songs not only in eight different studios, but also in eight different cities across the whole USA. Both the album and the documentation are a love letter to the American music history, as Grohl says. The journey took the Rock band from Chicago to Washington DC, from Nashville to Austin, from Los Angeles to New Orleans nd finally from Seattle to New York City.
