I anledning af 60-??s-jubilæet for Beach Boys’ legendariske mesterværk indeholder »The Pet Sounds Sessions Highlights« 2LP (180 g) uddrag fra det Grammy-nominerede 4CD-bokssæt The Pet Sounds Sessions fra 1997. Det indeholder 25 a cappella-indspilninger af »Pet Sounds«, alternative versioner og indspilningssessioner (for første gang alle på vinyl) samt nye liner notes.
»Pet Sounds« blev udgivet den 16. maj 1966 og blev hovedsageligt produceret og komponeret af Brian Wilson og anses for at være et mesterværk inden for popmusik samt et af de mest indflydelsesrige albums i historien. Det indeholder de klassiske singler »God Only Knows«, »Sloop John B« og »Wouldn't It Be Nice«.
