Varebeskrivelse

The "VII" by Qntal is released as a limited edition (2 bonus tracks) in a 6-page digipak with a 28 page booklet.

For 'Qntal' a new creative period begins in 2014. Sarah "Mariko" Newman so far supported the band only in live performances, but now she is a permanent part of the line up.
The new electronic magician is Leon Rodt, who from now replaces Philipp "Fil" Groth at the keys and also involved as an empathetic producer. Moreover, for the first time in the history of the band Michael Popp is doing the vocals. The seventh studio album - again simply named "Qntal VII" - declares the third age of 'Qntal', but despite all the changes it remains true to the band's original virtues.
With great sensitivity and expertise, the musicians approach centuries old lyrics and melodies, transform these into modern arrangements and thus revive it in a new, virtuoso way. Graceful artistry combined with danceable catchiness, always committed to the historical significance of the originals.
Besides medieval sources like 'Carmina Burana', the theologian Meister Eckhart, the minstrel Heinrich von Morungen or the composer Guillaume de Machaut, 'Qntal' also venture into the 17th, 18th and 19th century for the first time. So the British poet Lord Byron and his enchanting poem "By The Light Of The Moon" are transferred into the finest sound as well as "Tyger" by the natural mystic William Blake. Romanticism is thus not only an integral part of the album's sound, but also characterizes the lyrics with its melancholic dreaminess. With "Snow", "VII" even approaches the present day; fantasy author Markus Heitz, known for his Dwarf and Albae novels, wrote this ode to the "eternal night."
But regardless of whether the words originate in the 12th or the 21st century, 'Qntal' always manage to keep the emphasis on the essence of the pieces - multifaceted, sophisticated and moving. No wonder that the unique avantgardists both play on classic events such as the Kreuzgangkonzerte in the Kloster Walkenried, the Landshuter Hofmusiktage or the European church music festival as well as at medieval festivals or independent events like the Amphi Festival or the renowned Wave-Gotik-Treffen. 'QNTAL's works are universal and timeless, they offer you a look behind the edge of the world!
