Varebeskrivelse

Saltatio Mortis surprise with an exciting new acoustic CD (jewel-case edition)!
After "Zirkus Zeitgeist" held up a mirror to the current zeitgeist's ugly face, this time it's back to the roots for the band. Back then, when people used to play without plug and power down at the corner – hence the album's title "Ohne Strom und Stecker". It's all about the acoustic instruments on this one. After their hit album "Zirkus Zeitgeist", a well crafted modern rock production, the band were curious how those songs would sound like in an acoustic dress. After a few tries it became clear: Saltatio Mortis had to return to the studio and consciously look back… However, the new album is not just a CD with "old" music, but rather the work of eight musicians who have arrived in their modern sound and who now, with the experience of 15 more years in the business, reinterpret the songs from "ZIRKUS ZEITGEIST" anew acoustically. The songs sound downright intimate, but there's also a little bit of fun here and there. The love for acoustic instruments and the twinkle in Samo's eye is almost audible in every single note. A musical treat, not just for long-time fans of the band…
