In 2020, the English progressive rock band Arena celebrated the 25th anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album. 'The Theory Of Molecular Inheritance' was supposed to be released in honor of this milestone, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Tour cancellations, it was postponed. Alongside former Marillion drummer Mick Pointer, Clive Nolan (Pendragon) and John Mitchell (It Bites) are also part of the band.

The new vocalist, Damian Wilson, has been involved in over 70 different album releases and is particularly known in the progressive metal genre as the lead singer of Headspace and Threshold. He has also performed and Toured with bands and projects such as Star One, Ayreon, Praying Mantis, and Rick Wakeman's English Rock Ensemble.

Now, the album is finally here, and the European Tour with 27 dates in September/October 2022 is also set to take place. Renowned artist David Wyatt has designed the artwork and is responsible for book illustrations of JRR Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, as well as past Arena artworks.
